The cottage has a double room, a twin room and a shower room on the ground floor, along with a kitchen which leads to a dining room offering wonderful views from its large picture window. Upstairs is a king-size double bedroom and a sitting room which again offers spectacular views. Outside is ample off road parking and a garden with furniture. MacKenzie's Peak is a wonderful base for exploring and enjoying all this beautiful island has to offer.

Summary: This home was absolutely lovely. It was literally across the road from the ocean and the views from all windows were breathtaking. We had a person in a wheelchair with us and were able to stay here with no issues whatsoever. Other than a few steps to enter the home, it was quite accessible. The doorways were wide, there were two bedrooms and a bathroom downstairs, and a large dining room which we used to gather and spend time as a family. The home was perfect. For future travelers I'd highly suggest stopping at a shop for snacks, drinks and food as there are no restaurants, shops or pubs within walking distance. We thought we'd be able to pop in somewhere for things to eat in the home but were not able to so as long as you plan for that, you'll be all set. Thank you for making this home available for our stay. We'd highly recommend! Cheers from the USA!

Summary: We loved our weeklong stay at MacKenzie's Peak in the Isle of Skye. It was a central home base for our various trips all over the isle, had convenient access to Portree to pick up groceries, had a couple great hiking trail heads close by, and amazing views right out the windows. The interior was clean, comfy, and cute and had all the amenities and details that a family needs.

Summary: The house was very well equipped and spacious. Every window has a beautiful view. Owners were so pleasant. Isle of Skye is one of the most magical places we have visited. Seamus Bar is great, a 5 minute drive. Portree has many great eateries and offers a lot of vegetarian options throughout all of Scotland.
