Positive: Excellent location. Have stayed at Santai numerous times. Short walk to beach and shops. Quiet area. Everything you could want is close by. Short drives to Kingscliff and Cabarita. Host was very friendly, answered queries promptly.

Negative: Room amenities were a bit lacking this time. Crockery / glassware could do with an update. Dishwasher seemed to work erratically.

Positive: The room was clean, and the hotel itself is wonderful to stay at. Host provided everything you’d expect from small soaps and milks to cooking supplies.

Negative: The whole kitchen electrical Circut kept tripping and all the cooking appliances and the fridge weren’t functional when we stayed here until about the third day when they sent an electrician (we stayed four days, so half our stay here we couldn’t store food etc.) It was quite difficult to contact the host of the unit as the phone number didn’t direct to him and the only form of contact was email. it took us a day or so until we heard back. I learnt from the electrician that he’s based in Singapore, so if you need immediate assistance it may be difficult to get it if you stay here.
