Summary: Had 2 nights here in one of the standard courtyard rooms. However as it was in the eaves and we were in a heat wave it was so hot. Not the hotels fault though. Luckily there was a fan. Food in library bar was lovely, lovely grounds abs views and certainly got a wow factor driving in

Summary: Possibly because it was for Sunday & Monday nights, our 2-night stay was exceptional value. Very comfortable dormer-style room across the courtyard from the main castle (glad we missed last week's mini-heatwave or it would have been hot - although there was a big fan provided). Excellent breakfasts with interesting choices as well as full English. Friendly and efficient staff. We didn't eat in the main restaurant this time but we know it's good; we just didn't feel our appetites could do it justice and it is quite expensive - good for a celebration meal though. We ate in town Sunday night then in the hotel bar on Monday - the steak pie, mash & tenderstem broccoli was excellent.

Summary: Excellent.On arrival was notified that we had been upgraded on our room..Well what a room..4 poster bed,very nice.Will stay again when in yhat area .

Summary: Stay here alot and a lovely place. This time i felt short changed. Unable to book breakfast at check in (no space left). Electric sockets in room not working - maintenance fixed problem. Next morning went to make a cup of tea and Electric not working again. Room was £160, spent £400 on guest in restaurant yet morning after couldn't get breakfast or even a cup of tea in room.
