It's peaceful in the quiet cul-de-sac in which the house is located. An Italian restaurant & bar is within 5 minutes’ walk, as is a foodie pub. Other restaurants and pubs are 10/15 minutes’ walk. Newcastle and Durham are accessible by local bus or taxi (15 minutes) and the property is very close to the Angel of the North and Beamish Museum. Hadrian’s Wall and the Coast are easily reached too by car. Cycle routes are accessible directly from the house. Durham’s International Cricket Ground at Chester-le-Street is 5 minutes by car.

Summary: Lovely property but needs a little TLC. For instance curtain in lounge half hanging off, no lock for front bathroom door, loads of lightbulbs not working, video game not working holes in wall in bathroom and one of the bedrooms. Having said this the beds were comfortable, lots of space for 10 people and hot tub a great bonus. Nothing to spoil the holiday but just a few niggles.
