Summary: Our stay in Ortigia and at the Casa dei Leoni were the highlight of our trip to Sicily. All the details about the property are accurate and as described. The comfortable, spacious and light-filled apartment is situated at the very heart of the island and is only a two-minute walk to the central Piazza Duomo. It overlooks a major pedestrian thoroughfare lined with shops, cafes, restaurants, etc., yet the street life is never intrusive, and the bedroom is recessed at the far end of the apartment. Our gracious host, Mario, could not have been more diligent in his communications with us, guiding us through every step of check-in/check-out (he even went out of his way to secure parking space--essential!--for us after some initial confusion). The House of the Lions receives our most enthusiastic recommendation!

Summary: We loved this apartment so much. The location of the apartment is perfect and if was so easy to walk everywhere. The place is beautifully decorated and was spotlessly clean. There is a beautiful balcony looking out over the cathedral. Mario was so helpful and was able to reserve us a garage spot nearby and even sent a list of recommended restaurants. Five stars all around! We will definitely stay here again if we come back to Ortigia.

Its central location was a major highlight, allowing us to explore the vibrant area with ease—all major attractions were within walking distance. (We did had a car so I could not comments on the parking situation.) The decor of the apartment was charming and created a very inviting atmosphere. It comfortably accommodated our group of four adults, making it a perfect choice for our stay. The attention to detail in the decor and the overall comfort of the space added to our enjoyment. The only minor drawback was that the bathroom was a bit small for someone of my size, but it was manageable and didn’t detract significantly from the overall positive experience. I highly recommend this apartment for anyone visiting Ortigia. It offers a great blend of comfort, convenience, and style.
