Positive: - The island is beautiful and the reef looks nice. - The staff was generally friendly. - They have a good massage therapist: Martini. - The menu at Lily Maa is pretty good for lunch and dinner. Drinks package has a good white wine from New Zealand and Moet as champagne.

Negative: - In the first night, I found 2 big cockroaches in the outside bathroom. While I understand this is an island and the villa is inside vegetation, I don’t expect finding them ar a 5* resort. I reported this to the staff and they said they are going to disinfect it — I never knew if they actually did this or not, they haven’t confirmed. At least I didn’t see the bugs anymore. -1 point for this. - The rooms and the hotel itself is pretty dated, it heavily needs renovation. The air conditioning has never been cleaned, it had 2cm of dust on its blades. The tiles in the shower look old and broken and the jacuzzi outside is impractical and also looks very old, we only tried it once. This is at best 4* conditions. -1 point for this. - I booked a manta ray and whale shark trip. In the morning, the weather was clearly pretty bad (very cloudy, sometimes raining). I asked at the reception if the trip happens because conditions are bad or if we can delay for the next day, they said yes because the ocean is calm. That was a blatant lie, the ocean was terrible, the currents were strong and we could barely enjoy seeing a single manta ray. We then went to try and search a whale shark, which we never found, the waves were big, the ocean was hectic. Lost money for no good experience, despite asking them and expecting to be reasonable. Another -1 point for this. - They provide a lounge which is not very functional (balcony door doesn’t close, seaplane noises come in and the bites offered are minimal) before the seaplane. We were initially told we get the 3:00 PM seaplane, but in thend we got the 4:30 PM one. Despite some guests which arrived at the same time as us getting on a 3:00 PM seaplane. - The cocktails are inconsistent across bars. The Spirit Bar and Vibes Bar have good cocktails delivered in a timely manner. The Aqva bar takes a lot to get the cocktails done and they are a lot less alcoholic. The Beach Bar staff always looks annoyed when you ask them for anything.

Summary: Pretty good food and drinks, but the hotel rooms need rennovation and disinfection against bugs.

Positive: Staff was amazing. You get someone to guide you through at the airport and very soon you find yourself in the resort lounge which is large and they offer snack and drinks. The playstation in the lounge did not work and neither did the massage armchairs. Also they did not have any towels so could shower at the lounge. Once you arrive at the resort you are greeted with a drum which is quite standard for the Maldives and after your are escorted to your room/villa. Room was clean and decent size but the air con needed to be sanitized but once informed the staff fixed things really fast. Dining was very good with lots of options. They have a lovely house reef and offer snorkeling equipement complimentary. View and sand were breathtaking.They offer Moet and Tattinger as part of the all incl package which is amazing value. You also get 3 free excursions. Tennis court and table tennis, darts, volley, football pitch. 5 Bars with good selection of drinks. Rooms need updating tough they are old but well maintained. We would like to thank in no particular order: Jaleel, Shaah, Gloria, Peter, Ali, Alin, All the staff very attentive. Also the lady doctor was very nice and helpfull for our small issue. The extra packages felt a bit overpriced and not really worth it for us. WIFI has really good coverage everywhere on the island which is rare in the Maldives.

Negative: Tamarind was not to our taste but we dont like indian and thai food. There was a mix up regarding the booking of a tennis court but not enough to ruin our experience. Rooms need updating.

Positive: Everything! Delicious food, kind staff, beautiful and rich reef, a paradise on earth!! Our best holiday! Thank you a lot for this amazing time!! We have seen whaleshark, manta rays, turtles, sharks, the best place to dive with these amazing creatures.

Negative: The only thing is that the additional services are a bit expensive (spa, excursions), but i can not name any more negative about the resort

Positive: Very nice staff, very uncomplicated…very helpful, no signatures for nothing needed not for diving equipment not for food and beverages. Free activities, nice snorkeling beautiful reef but not so many fish compared to other locations in the Maldives.room was comfy and good equipped.

Negative: Would prefer more a la carte option including all inclusive Maybe shark feeding although spectacular is not the best to do and should be stopped…. Many sharks with injuries ( fin damaged ect)
