Positive: We booked the cheapest room, which was old and not too comfortable, but after a room upgrade we were very satisfied. The upgrade was no problem and easily fixed. The new room was very nice and comfortable.

Positive: Location in the old city centre, pleasant walking around. Superior rooms are nice with balcony and beautiful view. Comfortable bed, warm heater toilet room. Nice Italian breakfast with cold cuts.

Negative: Heaters not regulating, sometimes too hot in the room. Feeling a bit overpriced for 3* hotel. Need more variety for breakfast as for 7 days it was always the same.

Negative: Breakfast OK, but only cold boiled eggs, nothing warm. The second night, we had to bear a very rowdy crowd outside our room. Parking was at a couple of minutes walking down- or uphill, but the rates are very affordable.

Summary: To be repeated if the intention is visiting the historic town.

Positive: Breakfast was very nice for Europe! Well presented, well curated by the staff, and flexible with the finishing hour. Hotel location was Very Cool (tho not recommended for someone with limited mobility, due to the natural hilltop geography with rocky streets)!

Negative: The bed mattress was - as is not unusual for hotels in southern Europe - a bit flat and stiff, such that one’s legs didn’t feel warm and softly-supported like in a Marriott.
