Positive: Very close to the National Park entrance- ideally located for a dawn safari (~5:30 am pickup). Clean rooms, comfy beds, good AC, nice garden surrounds. Some rooms didn't seem to have hot water, but in the tropics you barely need it anyway. Kuma and his staff were wonderfully helpful and friendly. Recommended.

Positive: You might think there is a catch with the price of a stay here. There isn’t. Kuma runs a safari trip which you can also purchase. There is no hard sell but it’s a no brainer and good value. Staying here means you are 5 mins from the park entrance and, hence, we were the 2nd vehicle in. That meant we got to the lake whilst the crocodiles were still out and about. Our guide was very knowledgeable and we had a super day. The accommodation is clean and comfortable. We ate our dinner there as well, which was good value. All in all a good memorable trip.

Positive: We spent 1 night at the Lodge & the room was spacious, hosts very friendly & welcoming. The highlight was our afternoon safari (organised through Kuma). Our driver, of which I can't recall his name, was one of the most professional & knowledgeable drivers we have ever had on a Sri Lankan safari. We stopped when he spotted a bird, reptile, mammal & explained a little bit about each animal. It was a thoroughly memorable afternoon. We were lucky to see many elephants, even a baby elephant, crocodiles, monkeys, spotted deer, different bird species including hornbills, kingfishers, bee eaters, 3 of the 5 eagles, an Eurasian hooper, pair of Asian paradise flycatchers, peacocks. And soo many more. Thank you Kuma & Team

Positive: Great place, near the entry of the park, so you get to be the first if you do the safari in the morning. Room with ac, clean. Great dinner. Kuma and his family are lovely. Totally recommended

Positive: Kuma and his wife were so helpful and friendly - nothing was too much trouble! The room was exceptionally clean , spacious and well equipped with a lovely covered area to relax with a book. Home cooked food was delicious and plentiful. Kuma also organised us a fantastic safari at the close by Udawalawe Park with a great driver/guide who found us lots of different animals, plus he arranged a trip to the Elephant Transit home which coincided with the baby elephants being given their milk. A truly unforgettable stay, and excellent value for money. I would definitely return there.

Positive: The hosts were incredibly sweet and went above and beyond to help us arrange a fantastic safari experience. The room was very clean and comfortable, though the Wi-Fi was not working during our stay. The food on the first night was just okay, but the hosts were quick to adjust the breakfast to our tastes, which we appreciated. Overall, their hospitality made our stay truly memorable.

Positive: This place is a gem. So clean and really comfortable bed and pillow. The owner and his wife are so welcoming. Nothing was a problem for them. I wasn’t well and he organised some medicine and herbal tea for me , which made me feel better. Definitely recommend
