Positive: What a hidden gem of Udawalawe! The value for money is incredible - clean air conditioned room, shower with hot water, the property is located off the main road in the middle of the jungle which makes it perfect if you like falling asleep surrounded by the sounds of nature. The staff is incredibly helpful and welcoming - on the day when I arrived they walked me down the dam to see some animals before the sunset, cooked delicious dinner and helped me to organise the safari next morning (they also packed a very nice breakfast pack to take on my trip). 100% recommend!

Positive: We loved our stay at Hantara. The staff is really friendly and the bathroom was one of our favorites in Sri Lanka. Overall the room was actually great: spacious, AC, a nice terrace and it was very quiet. We booked our safari at the hotel and enjoyed the 6 hour safari drive. We also drank the best ginger tea ever!

Positive: The service here is excellent. They greeted us with delicious fresh fruit juice and helped arrange our safari the next day. All the food we had here was amazing including both breakfasts and dinners. The property is very beautiful and quiet. I really loved the outdoor bathroom as well.

Positive: "The best place we have stayed across Sri Lanka. Beautiful bathroom - great design. We were just for one night, wish we could have stayed longer. Dinner made on the premises was delicious. We had to leave early in the morning so the breakfast was a takeway but still very good."
