Positive: Really nice choice to stay in khajrana Rancho, my room is very clean and comfortable bed. Food is very tasty homemade. Very kind family and friendly helpful. Positive: This is a family run place, with one large, comfortable room which has an ensuit, which is rented to travellors. The rooms of the house are around a central courtyard and pretty garden (papaya trees, lemon, tomato plants, flowers etc. The family is very lovely, the room worked well for us and the food (breakfast, lunch dinner) was also good. It's far enough away from general noise, but I recommend ear plugs due to wedding season music, which is very loud, everywhere in India. The family have plans to expand in a small way, and I wish them well. I personally would be hesitant in booking this, as a single female travellor due to the road to the house, but I think the area is safe. Khajuraho is very lovely.

Positive: Wonderfull home stay. Rooms are realy big, clean & comfortable. Bathroom was very clean. Hot water provided 24 h. Only 20 min walk to the city centre guaranteed peace & silence. Family members speak english, they can provide many services (tuk tuk, taxi, tickets, laundry), whatever you need. Breakfast is excellent.

Positive: Lovely stay with a friendly and helpful local family close to Western Group (the best) group of temples. We could walk into town or use the provided auto rickshaw service. Good food provided by the family. Nice to sit outside and meet the family. They also have a travel business and took us on a tour of further-out temples and we recommend a trip to the canyon / waterfall. They also organised an excellent taxi onward journey to Kanha (recommended). Room was clean, nicely decorated and comfortable bed.

Negative: We really enjoyed our stay with this lovely family, but some notes: In winter the room was quite cold and could maybe use a heater. The hot water shower could be hit-and miss. They only take cash which can be a pain, especially if you are paying for additional trips. Top tip is to carefully count out your money.when paying.

Positive: It's a homestay experience, which gives some insight into local family life. The family is so kind and eager to help make your stay comfortable. The room is comfortable and it's quiet at night except for the occasional barking dog. The 3 brothers who run it speak some English and can help arrange transportation and tours without overcharging. And the mother is a really good cook!

Negative: The shower was quite weak. Otherwise it was all good.

Positive: We had a very nice stay here with the family. This is the best option you can have to have a real indian family experience! They even help us to organise a private tour to Panna Tiger reserve where we managed to see a baby tiger ! On the evening, we cooked with them, it was so lovely to spend time together. We felt very well welcomed!! They also gave us more plaids as we were cold, definitely one of the nicest family we met!

Negative: As we went here over the wedding season, I would recommend to bring Earplugs ! Other wise everything was very good !!

Positive: The homestay is a true gem in Khajuraho : a neat and tidy lovely place offering everything you may need and where the hosts will go above and beyond to meet your expectations. Excellent value for money: the room and the bathroom were large and clean, the bed was comfortable, the breakfast was excellent and served in a sheltered place opening onto the lovely garden where you will occasionally meet and talk to the people as if you were an old friend of theirs. We valued their absolute authenticity, plain simplicity and keen sense of friendship. As we travelled by train, we organized our arrival with Haim who picked us up from the railway station and later explained everything to us with his brother as they can also organize trips to the temples... and beyond! In the evening, we would go to Raja Café (another gem in Khajuraho!) for dinner and Haim never failed to collect us from the restaurant as agreed. Feeling part of a family spanning three generations was a great experience that brought us closer to Indian life in a village and enriched our knowledge of Indian culture and diversity.

Negative: NOTHING as everything was PERFECT! Indeed, we were very sad to leave yet we hope that many other travellers will share similar moments when visiting Khajuraho Rancho. We thank you all with gratitude for those three wonderful days spent with you. We wish you all the best and will highly recommend you and your homestay as offering an exceptional, genuine experience of India. Congratulations!
