Positive: Very calm place away from the noise! Choose this place if you want to hide away from the hectic life in the city. The hosts are amazing, you can get homemade tasty food, choose to do morning yoga, meditation and other stuff. You can get tours of the city and nature sights with the host if you want to! They are very friendly, this is not just a place to sleep, but a place to have a meal with the hosts, chat and have an amazing time.

Positive: A very nice place if you want an authentic and peaceful Homestay experience with a nice local family with whom you interact. The house is located in a peaceful countryside allowing you to relax and enjoy some calm & nature, while still being close to Khajuraho (only 30 min by walk, less than 5 min by tuk tuk). I walked several times from the Homestay to Khajuraho and its many temples with no issue. Omprakash, the owner, can help you organize anything you need in Khajuraho and even elsewhere in India.

Positive: I was very well received by the family who hosted me like I were from the family. Om showed me the best places to visit in my free time. I appreciate all the recommendations about temples, restaurants and shops. The room was comfortable with hot water. The food is "farm to table", everything prepared with love by Maji and Purna. When I come back again in Khajuraho, this is my place to stay.

Positive: This is a nice homestay outside town. The home-cooked meals are delicious, the family very respectful, allowing you space, and the rooms are spacious with plenty of blankets. I loved the bonfire on chilly evenings.

Negative: It is a little tricky to find but you just need to get in touch with them. My tuk tuk driver spoke to the manager and he met me on the main road.

Positive: Maji Homestay is a very calm place in rural area of Khajuraho surrounded by green area, where you can find a lovely family that will make you feel like home. They will provide you delicious food most with organic vegetables grown by them and confortable accomodation room with good hot shower. If you need transport or anything, just tell them and they will do their best to attend you at the best way. There you can walk around to see the nature, go to the tree house, do picnic, sunbath with the rooftop view, make fire at night. It is a quiet farm house. It is the best choice if you want to rest and stay away from the noise of the city. At the same time is near enough to go to the historic and cultural places of Khajuraho, like temples and museums. I wish I could stay longer and wish I can come back one day.

Positive: An authentic homestay experience, a warm welcome by the whole family, Mama's excellent cooking, and a spacious bedroom with ensuite bathroom, in a rural farmhouse within walking distance to the temple complex, made this the perfect setting for enjoying the slow pace of Khajuraho and learning about its rich history.

Negative: Don't be put off by the description - I was afraid this stay was meant for yoga or meditation types, but there is no need or pressure to engage in other activities. I simply used the stay as a home base for temple viewing and the comforts of 'home' when returning in the evening.

Positive: I really enjoyed my stay! It was relaxing and I enjoyed delicious food made with ingredients from their farm. Om Prakash took care of us, and I really learnt a lot from him. He is truly a great man, with lots of knowledge, i have much respect for him! His 2 sons are extremely well behaved, kind and polite as well, a testament to Om’s parenting. During my time at Maji’s, we built a treehouse with Om, which was a highlight of my stay.

Negative: Nothing! I enjoyed everything. Oh, I forgot to mention that Om has a younger brother named Satish aka “Mr Khajuraho” or “friend”. He is an honest guy and is attentive to the needs of certain people 🙃 what a great guy he is, Satish!
