Positive: Close to the Temple. Old heritage vibes. Loved the swing in the room.

Negative: The breakfast was sad. Like roti and sambar. Thats all. The room we had was right next to the road, too noisy. Request for a room inside if you want a quite stay.

Positive: The location of the property is excellent - just a stones throw from the exquisite Chennakeshava temple. It’s a beautiful structure divided into smallish rooms and dorms. The staff is very supportive. This is possibly the only property in Belur town with an English speaking host. It’s a good B&B and gives a you a feel of Indian small town life. The property is a mini architectural gem.

Negative: The rooms are bit too small and basic. It’s for those who travel light, otherwise you can’t move around. There is hot water, but you have to manually mix it in a bucket to and pour it for a bath. This is avoidable. We suffered due to a stable WiFi connection in our room and a mobile phone signal and had to cut our visit short - as we needed to be in contact with home for medical and other emergencies of aged parents. I think fixing the WiFi and shower issues should be prioritised by the property. The room sizes, I understand, cannot be helped as it is a heritage property and cannot be meddled with.
