Positive: We spent a day at Lara Estate with 18 family members, from toddlers to elders aged 90+. The estate is a hidden gem amidst coffee plantations, peaceful, scenic, and beautifully maintained. Vinay, our host, was incredibly helpful, arranging facilities and guiding us around. Meals were customized to our preferences, and the staff were warm and welcoming. Highly recommended for nature lovers seeking tranquility and genuine hospitality.

Negative: The rest rooms need more cleaning.

Positive: Site is on a lovely coffee plantation 30 mins drive from Belur, along a partly dirt track that is straightforward to drive. Basic accommodation (though bed very comfortable), with decent food. Host very friendly and helpful. He took us on a lovely walk through the plantation. A very nice retreat from urban India.

Negative: We had to ask for a top sheet and TP. No lock on door.

Summary: Basic but decent accommodation on a lovely coffee plantation near Belur. Nice getaway.
