Negative: Very busy when arriving to check in due to being at the entrance of the trailhead. But great location to do the trail!

Positive: We love that the lodge is in a great location, for going to Banff, Canmore and easy travel towards other location. The Blackswift bistro offer good food, but a bit pricey. It is kind of seasonal so it is expected. Overall we enjoyed our stay and had a great vacation.

Negative: No dresser to put stuff and a little more effort on the cleaning crew.

Positive: Location location location! Beautiful setting in the trees right next the path up the canyon. Makes a great base to travel to lake Louise and Banff. We also saw deers right by the roadside close to the canyon. We didn’t eat at the premises but the staff were lovely ( we had a drink) but the food we saw being served looked great.

Negative: Perhaps a little expensive for what is basic accommodation but it added to our trip never the less and the location was perfect.

Negative: A terrible, expensive burger in the restaurant. Fish and chips weren't available. The female at the register was very demanding that she get a tip.

Positive: Very friendly staff. Good location, next to the Johnston Canyon trial and a short drive to Banff and Lake Louise. The furniture is old but with a special flair
