Positive: We wanted a quiet getaway and this was absolutely perfect. It's surrounded by gorgeous views at the top of a hill, the cottage was cosy with a beautiful view, lots of garden and seating areas so you had plenty of space. We were visited by a large hare, a red squirrel, a woodpecker, bats and lots of little birds. The alpacas on site were so sweet. The cottage was equipped with more than we expected, possibly the best self catering set up we have had. The owners were lovely and on hand when we needed anything. The night sky was incredible, definitely worth taking a hot chocolate outside for a bit of star gazing as there's no light pollution.
Negative: I'd have preferred a bigger bed than standard double but it would not stop me from returning.

Positive: The cottage was lovely, very clean and extremely comfortable and cosy. The hosts where very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be booking again in the future, I think this will be our favourite holiday location from now on. They have got an absolute gem of a place there. Definitely worth a stay, the cost was extremely reasonable

Positive: We had a wonderful four-night family stay with our two teenage children. The location is beautiful, with well-kept grounds, and the property was extremely clean. It’s a great base for exploring the Lake District, and it was lovely to return to such a welcoming place each evening. There are also some great local walks straight from the property. Fiona and Mark were excellent hosts – thank you for a fantastic stay! We would definitely recommend.
