These two holiday cottages (refs NP80 and NP81) are situated ½ mile from the shores of Lake Ullswater in superb surroundings. This working farm borders the River Eamont and is close to the craggy peaks of the Lakeland fells. Fells nearby include the High Street range, 1 mile, and Helvellyn, 8 miles. Penrith, 6 miles. Windermere, 13 miles. Access is via a small, private holiday park under the same ownership. Good location for peace and quiet yet only ¼ mile walk to Pooley Bridge with shops, pubs, cafés and steamer trips. Young children’s play area and small football pitch nearby. NP81 is adjacent to the owner’s quiet seasonal holiday park with no letting or sub letting. Shop, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.
Garden Cottage can be booked together with Riverbank Cottage (ref NP80) and The Lodge (ref UK37562) to accomodate up to 16 guests.

Summary: Absolutely perfect winter retreat. Luxury cottage. More impressive in person than the photos show. Five minutes from lovely pooley bridge and you can see Ullswater glistening in the distance from the garden. We went over Christmas and the owners put up the most lovely tree and garland to decorated the living room. No complaints at all. We would easily go back. Summary: Just a short walk from Pooley Bridge itself with shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants for all tastes. House was absolutely beautiful, very cosy and comfortable. Will definitely be coming back for another stay.

Summary: Beautifully situated within well kept grounds, private garden space to relax. House was clean and decluttered with hand sanitiser provided. Summary: Garden Cottage was a wonderful place to stay for our family get together. The living room is amazing, loads of space and a wood burning stove. Good selection of pots and pans, which is often limited in holiday cottages. The attic single bedroom is very cute and cosy, the perfect hideaway from the rest of the family! Great location, a 15 minute walk along the river from the village.

Summary: A beautifully presented cottage situated in the hidden gem that is North Lakes. We had a brilliant stay in this roomy bungalow, after being warmly welcomed by the owner. We particularly enjoyed spending time in the living room and admiring the traditional features of the house. We struggled to dry wet clothes due to the house being quite cool and there being no way to turn the heating on. Neither of the showers were very powerful.

Summary: Cannot praise this cottage enough. Definitely home from home. We arrived to a lovely warm cottage, bedrooms beautiful, lovely spacious cosy lounge, fully equipped kitchen, we took extra pans and utensils but were not needed. Easy walking to Pooley Bridge and the lake. Will definitely stay here again, loved it.
