Positive: A fabulous cottage. Everything you could possibly need is there! Two lovely bedrooms with king-size beds(one can be twin or super king) ,wardrobe and drawers in each. Large lounge with two comfy sofas and an area with a desk and bookshelves. Large TV and other lovely furniture and fittings. Very cosy and comfortable. Books on bookshelf, maps and leaflets . Fantastic kitchen, big and beautifully fitted with cupboards, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, oven,hob, microwave, large fridge freezer. Seating area in back garden, and a nice enclosed lawn and flower bed area. Safe for dogs ( and children). We always found space to park outside the front door. There was a post office and village shop a few yards away. Close to many tourist areas and attractions. 10 min. drive to Penrith, 20 min to Pooley Bridge . Lovely country pubs a short drive away. We had a great few days and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves,and it was lovely to come back to our cosy cottage each night.

Negative: Nothing! Everything was great.

Positive: Soooo pleased to have found this little gem for our weekend away - perfect for the two of us and our two dogs, and could easily have accommodated two more people. The cottage was super warm, cosy, and lovely and clean, and had an immediate welcoming feel. The kitchen was extremely well equipped, and the bed was SO comfortable to drift off in after a day exploring! The shower was also great - i dont know why i expected low water pressure, but I needn't have worried as it was smashing. Chloe was lovely and touched base with me before we arrived, and had left a great info pack plus books and info on the local area. The location was also fantastic to explore from in any direction, and the private enclosed garden was absolutely priceless with the dogs. We chose to eat in the very dog friendly Pooley Bridge (only a short drive away), but there are a couple of places within walking distance of the cottage if you prefer. The local shop(which is literally a 30 second walk away) was also very handy for any bits you may have forgotten. We've stayed in a few places with the dogs on our little trips, but I honestly think this is my favourite. I didn't even think to take photos, and I wish I had, but the cottage is very well represented in its description. We loved it, it was perfect for our stay and it exceeded my expectations, hence the 10/10. Clean, cosy, warm, quiet, and with that great balance of being in a quiet village while only being 15 mins or so from Penrith. We'll definitely be back!
