Positive: Good location close to station and centre. Recently revamped room

Negative: Narrow single bed. Quite warm in the room on what was a hot day (top floor) - fan didn't make much difference.

Positive: Great location and old building with lots of character. Very friendly reception staff ( Maria) and a working lift from reception to the 3rd floor where our room was . Only 5 mins to the old town snd 7 minutes to the train station on foot .

Summary: Great one night stopover before the Bernina Express trip . Could’ve stayed longer

Positive: The location of this hotel was perfect. Right in the old town and our rooms had views of the street with an old church directly across from it. There was no a/c but seems like in Chur, fans are good enough. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Breakfast started nice and early (6:30) which was helpful since we had an early train that morning. The breakfast spread offered plenty of pastries, breads, yogurt, muesli, fruit and scrambled eggs and sausage. We had a great stay and would recommend it to other travelers.

Negative: Everything was great! The only thing travelers should be aware of is that in order to get to the reception you need to go up a flight of stairs. After that there is an elevator to all of the rooms, but for those that can't do stairs or have difficulty with them, it might pose a real problem.

Summary: Great stay! Centrally located on edge of Old Town and walking distance to all of Old Town Chur.

Positive: Well-priced for solo travelers on a weekend night during the busy summer season in Chur. Small but clean room. Staff were welcoming and courteous. There are several good restaurants located within a block of the hotel. Breakfast was limited but adequate, fresh and well-presented. The hotel is nicely located to several restaurants within a block. The area is quiet.

Negative: Reception is only staffed until 8:00 p.m. so that may be too restrictive for some guests. Evidently, I didn’t get my electronic key to work correctly on my first couple attempts at the main hotel door, and was afraid that I’d be stranded outside for the night. The room was small but manageable for one adult. However, it was uncomfortably warm inside, although the room fan did help. Guests have to lug their luggage up one full floor to the front desk. On check-out, the attentive receptionist helped me with my carry-on.

Summary: Basic room in Old Town but good value. Ten minute walk to the train station.

Negative: There were 24 stairs to the reception. Lift was available from the 1st floor onwards.
