Positive: I had a mosquito net. There was a kitchen and a fridge. The owners have some proper rooms and some beds under a tin roof. I did not have a room. It is not fancy but did the job for a night. Car parked in the street.

Negative: No air con, dirt floor and no pool. It was OK.

Positive: The property was basic but very clean. The beds were super comfortable and we each got our own fan so the temperature was also very good for sleeping. The best thing about this property were the owners. I have never met nicer people in my life! They were so kind and polite and also very helpful with dinner recommendations and tips for our travels. Max even drove us to the ferry the next morning which was so very nice of him. I would definitely stay here again if I ever come back to Rivas just because of Max and Martha!

Positive: I was drawn by the reviews from other travellers and decided to stay here. I am so glad I did! Max and Martha are the best hosts I’ve come across so far in Central America. They are so helpful and want to make sure their guests enjoy staying in their place. We have conversations over breakfasts and other meal times. I also had conversations with other travellers who were staying there. The room is spacious, has the facilities as shown on the photos. It is basic but I have all I need. Considering the amount I paid, it’s more than a great value! Thank you Martha and Max! See you again in a few days.
