Positive: My stay at Holly Cottage was amazing! The property itself is beautiful, cozy and well equipped. EV charging point is new and works seamlessly. Communication with Simon was seamless. He was extremely approachable and responsive. Also left us some sweet treats and a note on arrival which felt very personal. Highly recommend!

Positive: I loved everything about Holly Cottage, very spacious, home away from home! Beautiful English Cottage in a lovely quiet location. The kitchen was well equipped and I loved cooking a few meals whilst looking out and seeing squirrels running about! We were travelling from the lakes district to Holly Cottage and messaged Simon the owner and he so kindly left the lights on as we arrived late. Will love to stay here again!

Positive: it was an exceptional stay at Holly Cottage. Simon, our host had provided directions to the place that was so easy to follow. He was so kind to leave a handwritten note that truly warmed our heart. The place was impeccably clean, the kitchen was stocked with essentials, the rooms tidy and warm. The place was better than the pictures. Simon was also quite prompt with his replies. A bonus: He had stocked with books and travel guides. Overall: a great and memorable stay!

Positive: Absolutely everything was perfect! The location, the host, the beds were so comfy, it was so cosy! Perfect place for a weekend getaway! Honestly, the host Simon was so nice and welcoming! We will definitely return!

Positive: Wonderfully cosy and peaceful. Lovely welcome card and treat bundle. The fire being set to go was a nice touch. The bed linen was so soft and comfy. Loved the cow shed toiletries, would be nice to have the bottle fuller though and they were all low level.

Negative: I’m sorry to have to say but the housekeeping standard was not as I would have expected. There was a hair clump in the bath on arrival. Large amounts of dust on the floors behind the doors and cobwebs in multiple places. The microwave was not clean. The dishwasher smelt unclean and also had sweetcorn in the bottom of it. The kitchen sink also had hairs in it. I feel awkward for saying this but I work in hospitality and I would be facing guest challenges with this level of cleanliness. The towels also smelt very damp. If this could be addressed then I would give it 10/10.
