The panoramic view of Kachemak Bay from Turkington Estate's private 28 acres is one of the most breathtaking views you can experience while visiting Homer. Grewingk Glacier, Poots Peak, Gull Island, the Homer Spit and more; they're all visible!
Guests might enjoy going for a stroll around the property exploring the various flora that grows wild, picking a snack of wild raspberries from the raspberry patch in the late summer and fall, sit out on the deck and watch the sun set in the late summer evenings or read the diary entries and view photos from the Turkington family's adventures to Alaska in Model A's from Connecticut 70 years ago.

Summary: Incredible views! Lots of space and easy access to Homer for our family. Needed to do some remote work and wifi was not very strong. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

Summary: This beautiful home was perfect for our family. It is spacious and comfortable and is equipped with everything you need. It is a convenient location for visiting Homer and the view from the large living room windows and front deck is incredible! The property was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Wifi works great. It was really nice to have two bathrooms and the large laundry room came in so handy. I was sad to leave and wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else when in the area.

Summary: Enjoyed our stay. Close to Homer Spit which we totally enjoyed. And the guys were successful halibut fishing. Mama moose and the 2 babies on property with the bald eagles flying above were a big plus! The hostess was very nice and informative. Thank you for giving us such wonderful memories 😊
