Summary: This place reeks of history and charm. My family loved the view and spaces. We visited in late May for a wedding and got perfect weather and warm temps. We hiked the property and the local/walkable Cromwell Nature Park for fun. A great Maine experience

Summary: This is a historic house in an historic neighborhood. Well furnished with lots of historic memorabilia although things like the kitchen utensils were dated. The main thing we did not realize when we booked it was it does not have air conditioning. It rained most of the week so it was not a big deal most of the time but in the middle of summer it would be an issue because not all of the windows had screens and we were never able to get a cross breeze. There is also a bit of a musty smell especially around the kitchen which I think is from the cellar. But, if you have a bigger group who enjoys staying in a very old historic home (built in 1810) this is a great option.

Summary: We enjoyed our brief stay at Willis Croft. The accommodations were clean and we had everything we needed to cook meals. The home is situated atop a vast, forested ravine with the Presidential Peaks in the distance. There were three cozy sitting rooms and a covered porch to gather in. The only drawback was a lack of internet access. Would return happily.

Brendon O. Nov 24, 2021 08:00:00 AM
Summary: We had a wonderful time at Willis Croft. The house itself is a classic home with many historical touches that help you envision what life was like two hundred years ago, while still having all the modern conveniences you could need. The neighborhood historical district is beautiful as well. Finally, the westerly views from the house are outstanding!

Summary: Beautiful views great little town Stairs to bedrooms a little tough
Christine H. Jul 26, 2021 07:00:00 AM
Summary: Ok. The house may have a few wavy floors and a basement trap door that is better than the main basement door, but wow! What a view. Crazy amazing property. Beds we clean and comfortable. We lived on that back porch. The sitting room was our morning spot. The dining room was taken over by crafting bridesmaids. There were 7 adults and we fit easily. Full amenities. *might I recommend scent-free cleaning and laundry products? (I brought my own but had to wash sheets before I could sleep due to allergies). So much amazing history and character to this house. We ALL loved it. The house should come with a brochure!
