This is a place for a memorable summer in Maine, with a private dock, two kayaks, a pair of stand-up paddleboards, and a canoe to take out on the water daily. Sunday River Resort is open for all seasons with an on-site dock and is great for canoeing and outdoor activities.
This lakefront home boasts a quiet, rural setting just over two miles outside downtown Norway. The incredible lake view can be taken in as you prepare breakfast in the kitchen, grill and dine on the expansive back deck, and gather around the firepit each evening for s'mores, stories, and stargazing.
The living spaces are spread out across three floors, with wood-paneled walls adding warmth and character throughout. The great room combines the well-equipped kitchen (with a large breakfast bar and stainless steel appliances), the dining area, and a cozy living room with a big-screen TV and a leather sectional. For even more at-home fun, head downstairs to the game room in the walk-out basement to find air hockey, foosball, and another TV.

Summary: Oh my gosh...this place was amazing!! I mean AMAZING. First off - when you exit your vehicle, the area smells like Christmas trees and Jasmine. I can't explain it really! The area was quiet, safe and clean. The dock was peaceful, the water was beautiful, and each sunrise and sunset was heavenly. Restaurants, and retail shopping within 5-10 minutes. The nearby towns were great, and the people were so friendly. The home was well equipped with anything you need, and it was very clean. The deck was spacious, the grounds were well maintained, and did I mention the lake - GORGEOUS. It was just heavenly. Things to note: You are in the woods - there is dirt, mosquitoes, bugs, rocks, leaves, and trees. There is wildlife and you will hear lots of Loons -especially at night, and it is DARK. The water has lots of minerals and may have an odor. None of these things are the fault of the hosts - they simply come with the environment. We went on several walks with our dog and relaxed on the dock. You will need mosquito repellant. It was a little tricky trying to figure out how to lock the door, but once we learned, it was easy. We did not want to leave, and we will 100% recommend this to everyone.

Summary: This house was perfect for a two night Brothers weekend. The house lived up to the pictures and it’s in a beautiful spot. House was clean. It wasn’t a dealbreaker, but there was a sulfur smell while taking a shower. It could probably use a better water filtering/softening system.

Summary: Location and sick were fun. Lots of options to play on the lake. Owner needs to address repairs and listen to feedback. Well suited for large groups but queen beds need to be replaced.

Summary: This is the second year we have stayed at this home for our winter holiday. We have enjoyed our visits and found the home to have everything we need. We were pleased to find the fireplace in working order, even though we received a note that it was not working. That and the large kitchen are the natural gathering spots for our family. Watching the ice fishing on the lake is an added bonus. Thank you for sharing this lovely property. We'll be back!
