Positive: The room had lovely decor. It was very spacious and clean. The bathroom was pristine with the usual complimentary toilietries. The little balcony was great for a coffee in the morning or an eveing refreshment. The location was fantastic! Not quite in the centre of Banff making it a great spot to get a good night sleep. Restuarants, shops and public/tourisit transport were short walk away. It was the perfect location to stay in Banff.

Negative: There were no cups or glasses in the room only paper cups which was okay for a coffee. But not so good for drinking spirits with ice or soft drinks. We had to ask for a couple of glasses so that we could have a glass of wine or spirits for an evening drink.

Positive: The facility was very clean and easily accessible, despite the renovations that were occurring at the time of our stay. Everyone we saw from the front desk to the housekeepers were very polite and always had a kind word and a good morning to say.

Negative: Renovations being done on the outside of the building, so it looked a bit messy, but renovations tend to do that. Check in time at 4 o’clock was a little bit late for us. We did request an early check-in, but due to the capacity they were unable to get our room cleaned prior to the 4 o’clock check-in so that was a bit disappointing.

Summary: Wonderful staff, great location and a decent value for money

Positive: It’s nice that it was within the town of Banff, there are a lot of choices for food and there are even a couple of grocery stores. I like the fact that we have a microwave in the room. Our room were always looked after by the housekeeper whenever we’re out. The staff are all lovely and nice! It’s also nice that they provide 2 pillows per person in the room.

Negative: None.

Positive: Even after having received a notice about the upcoming reservation from Booking.com, when we arrived thr manager on duty said that the booking had been cancelled in March. This appears to have been a disconnect between the hotel and Booking.com due to a reclassification of rooms. The hotel was booked out but the manager was fantastic and reorganised a hotel executive into alternative accommodation and gave us an excellent room at the same cost as the one we had booked. He was so kind,cheerful and helpful as were all the staff during our stay. They made you feel like a friend.

Negative: Nothing.
