Positive: Helen's House is an absolute gem, nestled in the incredibly quiet and charming village of Komílion. It's truly a haven for those seeking peace and tranquility away from the crowds. The villa itself is delightful. We absolutely loved the big front porch with its spacious table – it was our favorite spot for morning coffee and evening drinks, just chilling out. A huge bonus, especially for our children, were the two playful and friendly cats that kept us company; they were a constant source of joy! Inside, the villa is very comfortable. The bedrooms (one for two kids and a master) all have comfortable beds, good furniture, and, crucially, mosquito nets on all windows and doors, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The living room is spacious, featuring a large table, a comfy sofa, a big TV, and a fully equipped kitchen-box that had everything we needed for family meals. The washing machine in the bathroom was a massive plus for our family of five, making our stay much more convenient. Internet speed was consistently good, which was great for staying connected. Parking was also super easy, right in front of the villa. The location, while quiet, is surprisingly convenient. There are excellent supermarkets both 10 minutes north and south, along with some fantastic taverns nearby where you can find high-quality local products like honey and olive oil. It's well-placed for exploring the beautiful east coast beaches. Vasiliki, a larger town with everything you might need, is just a 15-minute drive south. Top beaches to explore nearby, but we enjoyed exploring the west coast and highly recommend Desimi Beach (about 30-40 minutes by car). The water there was noticeably warmer, and you can rent motor-boats and pedal-boats for some extra fun. The drive to Desimi is an experience in itself, with breathtaking scenery, and plenty of lovely cafes, bakeries, and shops to stop at along the way.

Negative: The only minor inconvenience we encountered was the size of the boiler in the bathroom. It's a bit small, meaning only two people can shower consecutively before needing to wait about 20 minutes for the water to heat up again for the next two. While not ideal for a family of five, it wasn't a huge pain and certainly didn't detract significantly from our overall fantastic experience.
