Positive: The cottage is in a beautiful location — we even had sheep grazing nearby, which made the view extra charming. It’s only a 10–15 minute drive to Portree, so very convenient. The house had everything we needed: a well-equipped kitchen for cooking, a fireplace for cozy evenings, plus a TV and a huge DVD collection. The only downside was that there was no shower gel in the bathroom, which wasn’t very convenient since we had to drive out to get it. For the price, and considering the remote location, it would have been nice to have basics like that provided. Everything else was absolutely wonderful, and we really enjoyed our stay.

Positive: The location was great - 10 minutes outside of Portree. The delightful cottage/ croft was charming and so much nicer than a soulless IKEA furnished place. The wood burner was a lovely addition and raised the inside temperature very quickly. The bath was great, after all the hiking, with plenty of hot water once the immersion heater had been turned on. The garden was fenced off, containing the dogs away from the sheep. A lovely little stroll down to the beach every evening topped off a great stay.

Negative: I suppose a slightly more comfortable mattress and pillows would have made it 10/10.

Summary: Charming croft, set in lovely countryside. Felt like a local.

Positive: Location was very good. Internet and Bluetooth facilities and speed were excellent. Very cosy. Kitchen facilities very good. Good utensils.

Negative: The television facility was limited, but the hosts very generously refunded for any shortcomings. Lighting was good but some lights on wall above settee would have made reading a little easier.

Summary: Very enjoyable. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this property.
