Positive: Loved this slightly eclectic, comfortable, cute hotel. Well-located. Immensely grateful to the lovely receptionist who kindly let us dry our clothes in the big drier as we had got absolutely drenched during a boat trip. A geothermal hot tub, gorgeous dining room, very comfortable bedrooms - what's not to like! Highly recommended.

Positive: This was our favourite accommodation of ten in total on our Iceland adventure! It was utterly charming in every way! Our room was in the attic, the building beside the main, and completely comfy and quiet. We learned that this hotel is where people stayed while they waited for their ship to take them to Canada and America to their new life - very moving. Breakfast was delicious with the standard cold offerings like breads, cheese, ham, eggs, jams, cream cheeses, pastries, etc - but it was dinner that really impressed! They have a tiny seasonal menu - like one fish dish, one vegetarian, and one lamb - but the lamb was the most tender and delicious I have ever tasted! I will recommend this place to everyone! (And also recommend the Emmigration Centre at nearby Hofsos to any people of Icelandic descent who are tracing their roots!)

Negative: Nothing - we loved it! Perhaps a more varied dinner menu would have brought us back for our second evening dinner, but there were other options down the main street in town, so we opted for something a little different.

Positive: Exceptionally eclectic in the best way. Staff was wonderful. Restaurant was exceptional and a great space. If you’re taking the Drangey Island (puffin) tour which we highly recommend this is your destination.
