Positive: The apartment is nice but the house is definitely not.
Negative: In case of emergency there is no escape route that is really concerning. The entrance to the apartment up narrow stairs and no handrail is just dangerous and gross. The smell is bad and it looks more like a halfway house for people in need for a place to stay. I am aware it is under construction but it doesn’t change the fact that this is just not up to standard for people even though the apartment is nice and looks good. Everything else just doesn’t make the experience enjoyable. I would not stay there again or recommend staying there just due to multiple safety concerns.

Positive: The location was great, easy to get to the address and inside the house. The view is beautiful. The apartment is cute and spacious, plenty of room to put away your clothes. Well equipped kitchen! The property owner is great at communication and responds quickly. We had a great experience despite the ongoing renovation and construction.
Negative: The apartment was on the second floor, the rest of the house was stripped bare and clearly under heavy renovation. Its surrounding also looked like a construction site. It did take away from the charm of the apartment. No one came or worked on the house while we were there and the neighbourhood was quiet. We stayed only one night, so it was not a huge problem.
Summary: Charming, spacious. Despite ongoing renovation & construction would recommend for short stay.

Positive: Apartment itself was amazing. Very nicely designed, cozy and central, although town is not very big anyway.
Negative: The rest of the building is under renovation, which we knew, but having to tramp up and down with luggage on narrow staircases without railings and through construction zone was a bit off.

Positive: Lovely apartment, Icelandic style. Exactly as per photos by the host. The contacts were easy, helpful and very friendly.
Negative: The building is under renovation, with the issues described in the other comments, particularly accessibility issues. However, there is a clear effort to minimize the first impact. The renovation space was clean and with a bit of decoration to try making it nicer.

Positive: The apartment itself is very nice. The beds were comfortable and the location was great. The view from the apartment was good. The feel of the apartment is good as well.
Negative: The building is under construction and you had to walk up a very narrow stair and through work place which looked bad and smelled as well. The windows did not have any blinds on them, including the bathroom which was sometimes a bit uncomfortable. The floors were bit rough and one of my kids got a splinter while walking barefoot. I do believe this will be nice once the construction is done but it was an unpleasant surprise to arrive into this.
Summary: Nice apartment but not a nice entry into the building.
