Summary: The first thing you should know about the Mikligarður Guesthouse is it is owned by the Arctic Hotels. So, when you check in, you'll have to go Hotel Tindastoll first to get your keys. There is no breakfast in the guest house but you can eat at the hotel for a small fee. It's a cool building. There are nice places to congregate and a real kitchen if you want to cook.

Summary: Lovely place for an overnight in a lovely town -- loved having the well-stocked kitchen and being within walking distance to restaurants, bakery, etc. Shared bathroom was fine as well and the price was good (love being able to book a triple room!). My only minor issue is the amenities listed: "Outdoor pool access," "Sauna," "Terrace," in combination with the pic of the hot pools in the listing, suggest the amenities are affiliated with the property, which is not the case (didn't see a terrace at the property and am still not sure where those hot tubs in the pic are -- probably the town pool, which is not within walking distance?). That issue aside, very nice stay.
