Positive: This wonderful hotel is a heaven in so many ways. From the design of the house, which is in a fantastic condition, to the food experience until the onsen and all the amazing staff who look so well after you. The location is a traditional and quite town that gives an image of Japan. I highly recommend to come in winter for the beautiful scenery and to book half board as there are only few outside options nearby the hotel. Big compliments to the amazing staff at the hotel - they will ensure for a fantastic experience! Thanks to all of them.

Positive: Beautiful location, care taken to ensure the privacy and comfort of guests, delicious and creative menu, relaxing and therapeutic onsen, natural scenery from every window, really nice staff. Unexpected experiences in the vicinity, including a big waterfall that you can walk behind, a colourful nature trail close to Fujiiso, the lovely town of Obuse.

Positive: The best service we've ever had anywhere. Chie was essentially like our personal attendant, helping us with everything including serving dinner, making reservations, and even calling around to find a place that had my size snowboarding boot rental at a local ski resort. She made the experience for us that much better.

Negative: They didn't really have western style food for breakfast, which was fine, we just didn't have breakfast there, but they did have coffee and tea in the morning.

Summary: Beautiful traditional Japanese experience in an amazing landscape with top notch service.
