Summary: What had a fabulous stay at Friars Carse. It is set in glorious surroundings, and the staff were helpful, friendly and welcoming. We staying in one of the cottages in the grounds and it was perfect in every way - clean, spacious, with all the furnishing in good order and of high quality. The food in the hotel was lovely, fresh, good portion size and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend and we are looking forward to a return visit!

Summary: The building and grounds are impressive. The staff are welcoming and gracious. The dinner was good but expensive. Breakfast was fine. However, there should never be any signs of mould in a bathroom and the grit around the windows could easily be addressed.

Summary: We had an overnight stay at Friars Carse and it was lovely. The staff are very welcoming, engaging and good fun. The building itself felt very homely. The food was utterly divine, I would go back for the food alone! There is a well stocked bar, with various places to sit and relax. If you are looking for somewhere to stay without the bells and whistles and really good food, this is the place for you.

Summary: Booked last minute as driven off camp site by “midge” .Fabulous setting, warm welcome lovely mealy and just what we needed to recharge our batteries. Rooms dated but this odd an old castleated building😁
