Positive: The cottage is well decorated and the carpets are new. The bedrooms were fine and the beds comfy. Plenty of hot water for showers and washing up.

Negative: On arrival there were many instructions about what we should and shouldn't do and this felt less than welcoming. Some of the furniture felt old and in need of replacing. The crockery was old and the mugs, in particular, were chipped and unpleasant to use. We were left one dishwasher tablet and half an inch of washing up liquid for a three night stay. The heating didn't work, maybe turned off because it was summer. These factors led to a feeling of lack of hospitality and customer care, unacceptable in my view for the price we paid. Disappointing, because we were seeking a place in which to meet on a regular basis.

Positive: Very comfortable furniture in the living room, the enclosed garden was great for the dog and a really good size, and there were some lovely sunset views outside the property when the Scottish weather allowed!

Negative: Nothing, the property was perfect for what we needed.

Positive: Beautiful property in an idyllic countryside location. Being remote it may be harder to find but we had no trouble. Beautiful scenery and cosy place - we had terrible rainy weather mostly so it was a nice haven to come back to. Corinna was so attentive and friendly, and nearby if we needed anything.

Positive: Lovely cottage with private garden in the countryside. Nice views and not too far from Dumfries centre. Good location for traveling to many places. Everything you need in the cottage includes large flat screen TV with dvd player and dvds. Also many games and books. Bedrooms were very spacious. The beds and pillows were very comfy, as was the sofa. It was very peaceful and quiet - only the sound of wildlife. I wish we had been able to take a couple more days yhere.

Positive: The cottage is beautifully presented, all the usual items are present including a nesprsesso machine. The setting and surrounding area are beautiful, quiet and safe.

Negative: the master bed was a little squeaky and one socket didn't function, but the host was very open to feedback and I'm sure this won't be an issue for future patrons.
