Positive: Staff were fantastic - helpful, friendly and professional. The accommodation has been recently refurbished and was comfortable and clean. The bar and restaurant were exactly what you'd expect - good selection of drinks at the bar, friendly atmosphere and good food. This was a great base for exploring the Islands.

Negative: The bedroom was basic. Very poor value for money. The shower didn’t work properly

Summary: Other than the sleeping accommodation it was a good stay. But very expensive for a very average room.

Positive: breakfast choice was excellent, the room was a little small but more than adequate for my needs. Had dinner on two evenings, again the food was very good. I can strongly recomend this hotel, I plan to visit Orkney again and when I do I will be checking out this hotel first for availability.

Positive: Its hard to say too much about the Ferry Inn given that we arrived at about 530 pm. and had to leave at 530am. to catch the ferry. The room was lovely and clean, and the little interaction we had with staff was great! I would recommend it. It was very conveniently located across from the ferry terminal.
