Negative: Not inviting from the outside, made us concerned - fix the window, throw some paint on the exterior, remove the broken down car - would make guests feel safer. Get a credit card charge account setup like every other business in Iceland - really disappointed that cash was required, big inconvenience, best to say this in your ad on booking.com, bed covers needs some help, worn and musty.

Summary: Felt deceived and taken advantage of, can't recommend to others.

Positive: The house has great potential and is tastefully furnished in the common areas; it would deserve a higher rating. At the moment, however, I can’t give more than a 6. The shower has limescale and broken or detached parts that need to be fixed. The kitchen is poorly equipped, with many outdated or non-functioning utensils that should be removed; fewer items in good condition would be preferable. The host was nonetheless very kind, welcoming us in person on arrival and handing us the keys.

Negative: Check in payment system. You had my credit card number. Use it. Woken up at 10pm to use PayPal with a $14 add on fee to booking. It’s 2025. Get with the times and accept credit card online. Breakfast was make your own which was ok. But this wasn’t stated anywhere online. It just said breakfast included. Most kitchen supplies clean but frying pans disgusting.

Negative: Curbside appeal could be improved. Would be nice to have a second bathroom. Only one bathroom for 4 rooms, so up to 8 people, is a lot to share.

Positive: Far nicer than expected. Don't let the outside fool you. Our little group loved the stocked kitchen and enjoyed making breakfast like the place was our own. Would definately stay again.

Negative: Outside looks iffy. Don't judge the book by it's cover. This place is sweet.

Summary: Excellent location and homey inside. Don't be fooled by the iffy looking exterior.

Positive: The host was very warm and we were received readily. It has a very convenient location, right across from Lava Show and Soup company. The house is very nicely decorated. The kitchen is well-equipped, and the food is abundant for breakfast. We enjoyed our one-night stay there.

Negative: Only one full bathroom to be shared by up to 8 people.
