Positive: The location is so close to Vik, walking distance to the shops. The room was adequate for one night, everything was neat and clean and we had our own bathroom, which in Iceland is like a bonus!

Negative: We were unable to check-in online as requested to via message. We had to ring the property to find out how to pick up a key to access our cottage. As we did not have an Iceland SIM card or roaming it took a bit of hassle to be able to contact via phone. Once we were advised of the process it was easy to collect our keys.

Positive: We have slept in the main hotel due to the weather conditions. And had the opportunity to get breakfast.

Negative: We decided to have one special experience by sleeping in the cottages which wasn’t possible. It would’ve been lovely to know that the cottages are not available during windy weather so could’ve decide ourselves if we want to go with the risk.

Positive: The cottages are lovely. Room was cosy. Very close to stores and restaurants.

Negative: We were expecting to be facing nature, but the cottages are actualy in the city and the only view there is is that of the city. Also, one cottage is divided in two rooms. Walls are very thin and we could hear the neighbors very clearly. I don't understand what justifies this price.

Positive: It was clean and new.

Negative: The walk to the cottage, from the car I couldn’t even bring my suitcase in. I left it in the car and just went in and out and got what I needed. Key pad didn’t work three times and were back and forth to main building a lot of walking after a long day. It was not a cottage on the beach. And didn’t expect a share entrance. Which was fine once you figured out what was going on.

Summary: Terrible, not suitable for seniors and staff were not very helpful.

Positive: It was clean, convenient, close to restaurants, groceries. For the one night stay if was a good area to explore from in the city and surrounding area.

Negative: The room was very very basic, and it seemed the photo's showed them as a bit nicer. Bathroom towels and soap also average. When we checked in we were informed immediately that breakfast was for hotel guests only.
