Summary: Quiet, comfortable stay on a farm that was just outside of Vik and close to Dyrholaey and Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach. There are 5 rooms with a shared kitchen, sitting area and 2 bathrooms. The bathrooms were modern and spacious, and even though they were 'shared,' there was always at least one open whenever needed. The other guests were quiet and considerate, so we would definitely stay here again.

Summary: Our room was nice and clean and just as described. The shared space as well as the bathrooms were very nice. The only issue we had was we had limited email ability on our trip and we were supposed to receive an email with checkin information 24 hours in advance of our stay. The night before our reservation we still had not received an email and contacted hotels.com which is not easy when you are out of the country. We finally did receive our email from Giljur house at 9:33am the day were were to arrive with check in starting at 4pm. This was very stressful as we had not received the email and this hotel has no front desk to check you in. It would be very helpful if you sent the email out 24 hours before arrival as your site states.

Summary: Apart from the drip coffeemaker which had not been cleaned for awhile the property was overall very clean. The room was basic but the location being 9km from the black sand beach more than makes up for it. We missed the small sign for the building when we entered but fortunately a neighbour was able to set us right. Very quiet.
