Negative: The room was nice size and the staff was kind. We went during the off season so that had an impact, but when we checked in there was a mop and bucket on one bedroom patio, an large water hose on the second, water in the outside tub from maybe rain or something, the showers were dark and looked unclean in the corners and the drains were rusted, the floors also needed sweeping and mopping. I feel all of this should have been cleaned, cleared and prepared prior to our arrival. After mentioned the mop, bucket and hose remained on the patios/balconies. With all of the restaurants closed there was nothing close in terms of food. You had to pay 40 euros to get to oia/fira or if you opted for the super market buy food that you could eat cold and can be refrigerated. The experience may be different during the summer.

Positive: Chic, stylish hotel with awesome views. Good breakfast (but need to time it right or expect a long wait).

Negative: What isn’t at all clear is that the hotel is separately run to the pool and restaurant. The pool is available for use but not the sunloungers by the pool unless you agree to a ridiculous minimum spend. There are 6 sunbeds that are free, with a towel grab every morning (see photo). Lunchtime food and drinks very expensive (32€ for a mini burger). So essentially you end up with a pool and bar that’s lovely to look at, but at least for our family of 4, was totally unusable. Staff tried to address the issue professionally but management should be so much clearer as it detracts significantly from the experience.

Positive: Gorgeous hotel, on a great location with in our opinion the best view of the island, overlooking the caldera all the way up to Fira. The area is quiet and away from the busy towns on the island, while still easily reachable. The pool area is great, food quality perfect but what stood out the most was the people. Especially Giannis at the pool bar went out of his way to give us everything we needed and made our trip special.

Negative: A few things disappointed us a bit: - the biggest one was the minimum spend at the pool sunbeds. Only a few are free and they are taken most days. The others have a €125 or €75 minimum spend (and that’s apparently a 50% discount because you’re staying in the hotel). We feel that if you spend a few hundred euros per night for your room, usage of the pool should be included, no matter how much you want to spend on food and drinks. - the curtains in the room are too small for the window, meaning it never got really dark. - the music in the restaurant at night was just a bit too loud to not hear it in the room.

Summary: Amazing, but be ready to spend if you want to enjoy it to the fullest.
