Summary: Hotel: Dara Hotel Room no: 3209 Staff: 9/10 Location: 5/10 Cleanliness: 10/10 Soundproofing: 2/10 (can’t hear traffic but can hear noisy people in the hallway + karaoke until midnight every night) Blockout curtains: Yes, exceptionally dark. Comments: You cannot flush toilet paper and have to put it in a bin. Hopefully you’re travelling solo or are very comfortable with your travel partner/s, however that doesn’t negate the fact the bin has held other peoples toilet paper with urine and feces on it. There was also a massive karaoke party on the first night we arrived that could be heard clear as day in the room and did not cease until just after 11pm despite being a Tuesday night. We would not stay here again. You cannot leave the fan or aircon on whilst you are away. This makes the room smell musty, and impossible to dry clothes.

Summary: Clean and simple hotel. We stayed in several hotels in the area and for the price this one was quite accommodating and well located. The only cons are: you hear everything in your hallways, can’t keep the room cold with out leaving your key inserted.(it takes quite a while to cool the room down when you get back for the day) and the pool is quite gross a lot of things floating in it and the surface shows a lot of oils floating. We didn’t see it cleaned once in 10 days.
