Positive: What a great hotel! In a maze of narrow alleyways (which is what the medina is!) it was quite well signposted to find, and whilst the front door looks unremarkable when you step inside you are quickly transported into what must have been a magnificent house (Dar) and you just had to go 'wow'! It is really well kept and very clean, and our room (Emerald Suite) was so nice. It had a ground level living room with a single bed at one end, a bathroom (with a nice large shower space) and a separate toilet. The living room had huge glass double doors and 2 large windows to let in the light from the Dar's atrium. Upstairs (very creaky wooden stairs) there was a mezzanin with a single bed at the stair top end and a double bed at the other end. The beds were very comfortable and the room heating was very good (we were there in a chilly wet January). The breakfast was really tasty and varied and very traditional, served by Hassan who is the living-in housekeeper/receptionist. We found Hassan really friendly and helpful (his English is also very good) and he was always available and very enthusiastic to assist - he is a real credit to the hotel. We stayed there for 4 days and we would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it. The Dar is on the southern edge of the medina so it is a good distance from the railway station and the famous Blue Gate (a 40-50 minute uphill walk at least) - but is only a 50 (ish) dirhams 6 minute taxi ride to either.

Positive: No photo could ever do this place justice, and I’m not a good enough writer to put my experience into words. The very first time—and every time after—walking into this riad felt like stepping into a world of fantasy. Nothing prepares you for that courtyard; your jaw will absolutely drop when you see it. It’s magnificent. But it’s the people who work here—Hassan, Sadiya, Moonya (and I didn’t catch the third lady’s name, and I’m sure I’m butchering the spelling)—who truly made my stay special. This was a home away from home. Hassan is the sweetest, most gentle soul you’ll ever meet, and the ladies are just as wonderful. I was welcomed like family and cared for the way family would care for me. Dar Victoria, you’re forever in my heart.

Positive: When you travel, the most beautiful souvenirs are the people you meet along the way. Anas is one of those rare ones. From the very first moment, he made me feel welcome: friendly, funny, genuinely kind, always positive, and always ready to help and make things easier. Thanks to him, even visiting Fez alone and for such a short time felt smooth and stress-free — I barely got lost in the Medina, which says everything. The riad itself only makes the experience better. The building feels almost like a monument, full of character, with a beautiful rooftop terrace to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. The room was huge, comfortable, and spotless. Breakfast was delicious, and the service throughout my stay was excellent. Some people would say that visiting Fez for less than two full days is crazy. Positive: The worker Hassan and other worker are very friendly, kind, and always helpful. I felt safe during my entire stay. The atmosphere is calm and peaceful, and the interior is very beautiful. It’s a place where you can truly relax. The breakfast was very good, and overall my experience at this Riad was excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again.

Positive: Spacious and comfortable room with heating and excellent water pressure, plenty of towels, shampoo and soap. Comfortable bed with extra blankets. Friendly and helpful staff, in particular Hassan, went above and beyond to be helpful. He even prepared me breakfast on the go for my bus trip.
