Summary: Have you seen Dirty Dancing? Remember Johnny’s cabin? Welcome to Johnny’s cabin. What a wonderful camp with history. If you are looking to get back to the simple things in life, this is the camp for you. My husband and I loved disconnecting from the hustle of our every day and kicking back. There isn’t a TV and we did not miss it. The internet is available is you just have to connect. The camp has a wonderful screened in porch which was my favorite room. There was a window unit AC that I was happy to see. The queen bed was very comfortable. The kitchen is new and has everything you need. There are a couple downsides that I believe anyone with a disability must know. The last part of the driveway to get in the home is quite steep. The camp has a claw foot tub which might be difficult for some individuals to enter and exit. The walk down to the lake is not bad but you can drive almost all the way down as well. The lake is beautiful with chairs, picnic tables, kayaks and dock. It’s a great place to spend the day swimming and making memories. The bottom line, especially after reading other reviews, this was a girls camp. It’s rustic and simple. Everything a person could “need” is available. The water pressure is not like home but there is water. Just done flush or use water when someone is showering. Yes you will see webs, an ant or two, it’s a camp. Do you see where I’m going with this? The camp is not off grid but it’s a great place to get you mind, body and soul off grid. I can’t wait to come back.
