Positive: The location is beautiful with easy access to the beach and necessities within the village. The view from the room is breathtaking, with a clear view of the forest and ocean. The room itself was spacious and had most of the amenities we needed for our stay. Granny downstairs was very warm and accommodating. We were allowed to check-in early and check-out late. You can book transportation through the host or venue attendant.

Negative: The host wasn't there to meet us when we arrived and there was a bit of confusion at check-in as a result. Despite what was advertised, my initial to hire a taxi through the host on the first day was difficult. The host graciously dropped us off himself but we were still very late to an event where we were specially invited guests even though I'd requested transportation two hours beforehand. The beach and village centre are walking distance away but it should be disclosed that the walk back to the apartment is uphill, the stay is not on the beachfront. I would advise guests to rent a car or come with their own vehicle to save time and money.

Positive: We visited in the off season so breakfast was not included but there are places close by where you can purchase meals. The wifi worked well and so did the AC plus there is a fan in the room if it was still not cool enough. The Castara beach is a 10 min drive away. You could walk if you are fit and don't mind the blazing sun.

Negative: The room was not used in a while so some things were needed. Bruce was very helpful in organising those. The sheets were pretty musty smelling too. Our price was very good so overall we were happy.

Summary: We had a lovely stay at Cottage Mango, will recommend.

Positive: The place was so peaceful. We were well rested. There were even birds coming up to you, so we spent a lot of time bird watching. It was a beautiful experience.
