Sanchester Ridge is a luxury mountain family compound located at the heart of the Colorado Rocky Mountains in the town of Marble and within close proximity of Redstone and the Aspen and Carbondale areas.
Entire compound sleeps 8 adults in 3 bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and a large open loft with comfortable sofabed and half-bath. This compound Includes a main lodge, a separate two-bedroom cabin and a
Main lodge house (2,500 sq. ft.) has gourmet kitchen, elegant dining room, large lodge area with carved stone fireplace, luxurious master bedroom/bathroom, laundry room and powder room. An upstairs huge open loft has additional space for recreation plus a large sofabed and TV/game area.
A separate house has two luxurious cabins with ensuite bathrooms and porch with huge views. The Depot serves to store all the outdoor toys and recreational equipment.
Beautiful deck with BBQ and outdoor fireplace surrounds the lodge and provides 360-degree views of the mountains, meadow and aspen groves.
The entire property enjoys spectaculars views in all directions and it’s generously appointed with all modern necessities and elegantly decorated with authentic Western antiques and furniture pieces.
This unique property sits at 8,500 feet of elevation and is enclosed by your own 35 acres of privacy and entirely surrounded by millions of acres of National Forest and Wilderness Areas lands. Not a neighbor or another house within sight, only spectacular views of 13,000 ft. high Elk Mountains peaks and the Crystal River Valley.
This property is located on the heart of the Elk Mountains and feels remote yet it's effortlessly accessed year-round on a well-maintained country road and it's only 40 minutes from Carbondale or Redstone and about 80 minutes from the towns of Aspen and Snowmass.
Slate Creek Ridge has all the comforts of a luxury home in the mountains.

Summary: While the cabin(s) indoors are beautiful, there is no reason to ever leave the porch, with its view of the spectacular wildflower field and glorious mountains. Many great hikes in the area and Marble is a fascinating and quirky place to wander through. The owners took great care of us throughout. Highly recommended.

Summary: This was a wonderful retreat for a family of 5. Our children are teenagers, and it was ok for them to sleep in a separate building, they liked it. The place was clean and well maintained for being "away from it all".

Summary: If you value quiet, peace, and spectacular scenery, this compound is a perfect gem. Beautiful property, thoughtful details at every turn, and a perfect location to explore Colorado from Aspen to the Black Canyon (both about 90 minutes). Perfect for our family of four by could accommodate three couples and a little overflow easily. Great hosts who bent over backwards to fulfill our every request. It is isolated, and one must be ready to make the 10 minute very slow drive up the mountain every day. Don’t bring the sports car. The Bbq joint in town is world class. But that’s your only option. And planning ahead to get gas and groceries a must. We did share the main cabin with a bat for a couple nights, but that just added to the sense that this is a true, unspoiled and magical place!

Summary: The communication leading up to our trip was great, from the owner to the on site manager Bart. Both were quick to get back to us if we had questions. The property is gorgeous with plenty of room for everyone. Bart was even quick to get the bikes prepped for us after we arrived so our kids could ride them. The fire pit was great for my wife and mother in law. Even though it was June there were some cool evenings. The only reason we didn't give it a 5 stars all the way around is that we think it could have been a little cleaner in the main cabin (smaller cabins seemed cleaner) for the price and I think it needs a little better overall maintenance. The house is very nice but as places get older they need to be kept up on. The grill outside is on the verge of falling over. It is a gorgeous spot, the views are probably the best I have ever had from a deck in Colorado. Thanks to the owner and on site manager Bart for a great stay and response times. We will be back

Summary: We truly enjoyed our stay. The pictures do not do this amazing place justice. This is a true hidden gem. This place had plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Our family had a great bonding time, there is no TV so playing games,talking with each other and enjoying the scenery were our pastime. Our ages went from 20-70 and everyone enjoyed themselves. Also the owner and the caretaker are willing to take care of the things needed during your stay. We would definitely like to return to this place in the future!.

Summary: I have leased many many houses in the crystal river valley... and this one was perfect...very very well supplied , comfortable ...our entire family came & went for 10 glorious days ...& all agreed " This is THE HOUSE"! We will be back for sure!

Summary: It was everything we had hoped and more! The view is absolutely breathtaking and we sat out on the porch MANY hours! We went with my brother and his family too and there was plenty of room for 6 adults and 3 children. LOTS of little luxuries all around like the outside heaters and gas fireplace. The other cabin with 2 bedrooms is located just a few steps away and is VERY comfortable. We saw deer everyday and enjoyed watching the hummingbirds pop in and out of the gorgeous wildflowers! We area already dreaming of returning.

Summary: This place is stunning. It's a little tricky to find, but once you're there it is heaven. We didn't want to leave! The views off the deck are unreal, the house is comfy and has everything you need. We never wanted to leave! I would HIGHLY recommend it.
