Positive: The location was perfect for a relaxing peaceful weekend away. the weather was amazing, the location was set in beautiful countryside and the hot tub was a real treat!

Negative: The two single beds are terrible, really ruined the stay due to uncomfortable nights and lack of sleep due to the mattresses falling off the much smaller bed frames.

Positive: Liked the private garden, the hottub, and the cosy lodge.

Negative: Phone signal was terrible including EE which didn’t suit us personally due to family members at home not in best health, found out about signal en route to the place, hottub wasn’t refilled since the Friday morning and we checked out on a Sunday was a bit disappointed we couldn’t use it again, the cover is not easy to put on and did come off two nights.

Positive: Brilliant place to stay in the beautiful Cotswolds. Loved the hot tub and peace and quiet. Close to Stroud too and we had a great time there. Would love to have stayed longer. Welcome pack was an added bonus.

Negative: Breakfast at the cafe was expensive and, to be honest, not very good. If we stayed again we would bring more food to make our own breakfast.

Positive: Location great! Gardens well maintained. Welcome pack was lovely! Fire pit idea was great. Clean. Quiet. A really lovely idyllic place with nature on your cabin step! Hot tub was lovely and our overall stay was really great. We couldn't complain!

Negative: Everything was great — we had a really lovely stay! Just two tiny suggestions that might help guests feel even more at home: making sure the shower gel/shampoo are topped up in case someone forgets theirs, and perhaps adding sunflower spread sachets to the welcome pack to cater to those with allergies. Really minor things — we’ll definitely be back!

Positive: We were in Bumblebee Lodge. It was small but had pretty much everything we needed. It was clean, and there was a welcome basket, which meant we did not have to go shopping the day we arrived. That was a nice touch. I am aware that the site offers additional treats/wood, but we did not use this service. The location was fantastic for exploring, and it was a peaceful setting. The shower was big and bed comfy. It is on a road that gets busy during rush hour, but this was not a problem for us. The hot tub was amazing!! We will definitely be coming back to this place.

Negative: I wouldn't say there was anything we didn't like! Our only suggestions are a shelf in the bathroom to put toiletries on as there is nothing for that. Another mirror near a plug socket for drying hair, doing makeup, etc, as the one in the bathroom is very low, so you have to bend to use it. I had to use the camera on my phone, which was awkward. A shower caddy for your own shower stuff would have also been helpful. In addition, as the Lodge is small, there is nowhere to put clothes, so you do live out of your bag/case. There was enough room in the bathroom to have a small set of drawers just to put some essentials in, which we would have liked. We ended up using the living area like a dressing area and to store bags. This was not a problem as we were in the hot tub in the evenings, but it could have been an issue if we had wanted to use the log burner and small breakfast table.
