The village of Cliburn is typical of the many traditional Cumbrian villages that dot the Eden Valley. The surrounding farmland offers a pretty rural landscape away from the hustle and bustle of busier, more westerly Cumbria. Local villages offer hospitable inns, fabulous local bakeries, tea rooms and independent shops and craft outlets. This is an area enjoyed by walkers and cyclists, with the coast-to-coast path close by with routes for all abilities literally from the door.
A short run out offers the Northern Lake District with Lake Ullswater and the market towns of Keswick and Penrith well worth a visit.
