Positive: We had a wonderful stay here in Badulla! We had the bottom floor of the apartment to ourselves which was very comfortable, and a short walk from the center of the town. Kavinda was extremely helpful in arranging transport, activities and also cooked a delicious breakfast for us one morning. One of our nicest stays in Sri Lanka, would highly recommend!

Positive: A spotless little one-bedroom apartment by the river, and the host is what makes it exceptional. He is extremely nice and kind, and eager to help with absolutely anything, from check-in to local tips, and it made a one-night stop feel genuinely welcoming. The apartment itself was immaculate and comfortable, breakfast was included even at this very reasonable price, and everything worked exactly as promised. Perfect overnight stop between the hill country and the east coast. We'd stay again without hesitation.

Positive: The host welcomed me warmly even though I checked in late. They offered me delicious foods like pittu, Sri Lankan chicken curry, dhal curry, and seeni sambol with coconut milk. The place is easy to access and close to all the amenities. It was a calm place as the name indicates. Personal tea making, a refrigerator and television were some positives I saw. The river sound really makes us calm after a tired day. Would definitely recommend. Thank you for everything

Positive: Kavinda was extremely welcoming and helpful. He even brought us some bananas and some rambutans from his friend's garden, and a delicious pastry. He made us feel very at home. The flat was huge, modern and really comfortable. We had a large bedroom, a private bathroom and also a large living area and kitchen. The street is quiet but 10 minutes walk from the small but lively centre of the city. Make sure you go across the 'dancing' bridge (a thin pedestrian suspension bridge) to the other side of the river which is beautiful and rural, and also to the two temples both just 5 mins from the house. We loved Badulla!

Positive: This was my second stay at Calm Stay, Badulla, and my second review as a solo traveller. Once again, I experienced the genuine hospitality for which Sri Lankans are renowned. The warmth, kindness and generosity of the owners and their family are truly the heart and soul of Calm Stay. Just as during my first visit, they looked after me with exceptional care and made me feel completely at home. The food was simply outstanding. For dinner, I was served authentic Sri Lankan pittu with chicken curry, dhal curry, seeni sambol, coconut milk, followed by curd and honey for dessert. It was undoubtedly one of the most delicious meals I have enjoyed throughout all my travels. The following morning, they prepared a wonderful Western-style breakfast with pancakes, chocolate, homemade ice cream, fresh mango, rambutan and a lovely cup of tea. It was another memorable dining experience. The property was, as always, immaculate, spacious and very well maintained. Waking up to the soothing sound of the river, the birds singing and the gentle breeze through the bamboo trees was incredibly peaceful. Calm Stay certainly lives up to its name. I was also delighted to see that the owners had taken my previous constructive feedback on board by installing a refrigerator and tea-making facilities in the room, making the stay even more comfortable and personalised for guests. It was wonderful to witness the success of their business. They are now constructing a new family room with additional facilities, including air conditioning, which will undoubtedly make the property even more appealing. The owners went above and beyond by recommending places to visit and arranging tuk-tuks at reasonable prices. These thoughtful gestures made my trip even more enjoyable and are memories I will always cherish. One thing I particularly appreciate is their commitment to quality.

Positive: every thing was beyond my expectations. house and owner is so much peace, caring, clean. owner gave me local infomation which is not on the internet. it was so helpful to arrange my trip. also additional dinner was delicious. I really recommend to the people who wants to stay calm on your trip. Baddula town is lovery local place.
