Positive: We stayed for 2 days at Calm Stay and truly enjoyed every moment of our stay. The hospitality was excellent, and the owner was extremely kind, friendly, and always ready to help with anything we needed. The atmosphere of the place was calm, peaceful, and perfect for relaxing after a long day. The food was also very delicious and freshly prepared, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Positive: I had a pleasant stay overall. The property is very new, well-maintained, and welcoming, with a shared entrance and a cozy living area that gives a nice homely feeling. The room was spacious, very clean, and the bathroom had a good hot shower. Kavinda is a kind and attentive host. He genuinely cares about your arrival and is curious about your background, which makes conversations enjoyable and personal. I also appreciated his understanding when I declined dinner and breakfast, as I had been eating quite a lot in the previous days: he was very flexible and respectful.

Negative: There are a couple of small points that could be improved. I was charged for the bottled water provided in the room, which I hadn’t experienced in previous accommodations, so it might be helpful to clarify this in advance. Additionally, although there is a table and a small kitchen area available, it would be nice if guests could make more use of it, for example to prepare tea independently. Tea is kindly offered by Kavinda and his wife, along with some tasty sweets, but having the option to use the space freely would make the experience even better.

Positive: The hotel owner is a very friendly and supportive person. He is very hospitable. His wife is also a very lovely culturally natured girl. They offered me free of charge delicious Sri Lankan dishes which are non spicy. Also his wife showed me how they cook some authentic foods which I love mostly. The owner speaks good English too. He contacted some Tuk tuk at lower cost and supported to find some beautiful locations around Badulla. The place is a very clean and calm place. It is located close to a beautiful river and you can enjoy nature a lot. The place is very clean and you can enjoy your whole stay. The bathroom is very spacious and very clean. Also it is located closer to Badulla city, bus stops, temples, hospitals and shopping places. This is a wonderful place with wonderful people. Everything was perfect.
