Positive: We spent 2 amazing nights in this Homestay! The hosts are really lovely. The homestay is on the beach so you can directly admire the sunset. There are even hammocks to relax in and something to eat on the beach. As for the food, it's the best dishes I've tasted in Indonesia and everything is homemade. They offered us a boat trip and we were lucky enough to see dolphins and pilot whales: incredible. Really a great experience.

Positive: The LOVELIEST staff. Brilliant food and really nice efforts to make our stay as comfortable as possible! They are just getting up and running and are looking to improve in every way possible which I LOVE! The room was large and had fantastic air conditioning. Franz does brilliant tours too. He was my go to man for two weeks on Bunaken, and I only stayed at his accomodation for my last two days so that goes to show how great he is.

Negative: One room shares a toilet with the family and it was not the cleanest or most pleasant squat toilet I've ever used... The bathroom could also do with more hanging space for a change of clothes when showering.

Positive: Coral Homestay was a delight. Not because of the amenities, which are basic, but because of the generosity of spirit of the hosts. I was very happy with the meals which are included in the price. The food provided was always more than I could eat, varied and tasty. Frans made things easy in getting transport and boat hire etc. The location for meals was overlooking the beach. The town itself has a strong sense of community and care. When Frans got out a hammock, I knew I had arrived!

Negative: Only one room has air con. But I found the fan was adequate. I had to stay at another Homestay not on the beach but I could use the beach to hang out and have meals so it didn’t matter too much. Be aware there are different rooms, some in different locations. None of the rooms overlook the beach. The furniture overlooking the beach could be more comfortable. The hammock was a huge improvement!

Summary: Memorable stay with delightful hosts and a strong sense of place.

Positive: Everything. Is the best stay I had in all my travels! - Owners can speak very good English and they are so helpfull - Food is amazing. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were all very good all days - the room was clean and with airco - they help you with boattransfer and transport - The owner took me with him to see dolphins. We saw like 100 dolphins. After that we stopped for two snorklingspots, wich were so beautiful - Homestay is at the beach, when you walk 200m in the water, you van snorkle very good (so many turtles and nice coral) - just an amazing place
