Negative: The room and breakfast area were cold and the breakfast was basic and uninspiring. While the room had air conditioning, it was always turned off after cleaning. This meant we had to heat the room every time we returned, which was inconvenient at -8 degrees.

Positive: Clean, comfortable and quiet. Great transport bus link to Luzern centre.

Negative: Self check in, anew system, was very problematic. The fact that there are no staff on site meant resolution of the issue took way longer than it should have. When member of staff was there, she was very helpful.

Positive: The breakfast was fine and manageable. Love that you boil your own eggs actually. Considering Switzerland and its prices, this hotel is actually quite cheap overall. Still, the rooms was wonderful - spacious, clean, and with an awesome bathroom. Really loved it!

Negative: In general, it seems like the hotel is a "secondary" business as the employees are more focused on the restaurant. Which is fine I guess. Tea mugs could be replaced and replenished more often in the common area. The cold cuts choices were quite limited for breakfast.

Positive: The rooms were of good size and very clean. Breakfast was excellent - plenty of choices.

Negative: I booked two rooms and requested that the rooms were adjacent to each other. I got a reply that my request was granted. When we checked in we were told by the reception staff that the request was not possible. Our rooms were at the opposite ends of the guesthouse. I was very disappointed.

Summary: It was more than good. Breakfast was great. Location was ideal.

Positive: Friendly and helpful staff, wonderful food at restaurant and very delicious breakfast. Easy commute to city centre on bus, bus stop is very close by. Clean, well kept rooms and great views of mountains. Comfortable beds and blankets. Good air con if required.
