Positive: The room size was ideal, mattress itself was very comfortable, perfectly clean linens and pillows, the view was looking toward the marina. but not the boats docked side, all the bath towels and whirlpool tub towels were ideal body size and very good quality, whirlpool, stand up shower and all the mirrors in the bathroom were very nice and enjoyed. The views from the restaurant, its deck and down to the gazebo provided gorgeous views of the St. Lawrence River and the Boldt Castle. The food, ambiance and the service at the restaurant were all excellent.

Negative: The bed, particularly the frame being metal that creaked loudly every time we sat, got up from or moved around the bed, as it must have had the old metal springs under the box spring supporting it. The toilet itself was loose, so every time we sat down it moved loudly. The hotel itself is outdated and could surely use a bit of modernization. The restaurant was very elegant, but the chairs at the tables could be updated.

Negative: The facilities are in need of repair and the grounds need cleaned up. There was trash sitting outside in the same spot for the entire time we were there. The room (while needing a facelift) was very clean.
