Positive: It was conveniently located near Georgetown and near public beaches on the island. The resort and villa that we stayed in were clean and well maintained. Staff were friendly and having the restaurant and bar on property was perfect.

Negative: Can’t think of anything I didn’t like.

Summary: We immensely enjoyed our stay! I would highly recommend Hideaways to anyone visiting Exuma.

Positive: The location was awesome! We had a gorgeous view from the porch. Everyone at this resort was incredibly friendly and helpful! And although there were several villas in a small area with a bar next door, the place was very quiet and peaceful!

Negative: Neither of the two tvs in our villa worked properly; we could hear them but could only watch static screens. Also, the AC unit in the bedroom leaked water and keep shutting itself off.

Summary: With some minor attention, this place would have be a 10! The beauty/ friendly locals are exceptiona

Negative: Our unit (25) was right on the Queens Highway so we listened to trucks and cars zooming by our bedroom. This bad location was never disclosed. Servers in the restaurant were somewhere between unfriendly and rude.

Positive: The unit was clean and in a good location, although it was not right on the beach.

Negative: The property was a bit outdated. The coffee maker was rusty and there was no coffee. We spent two nights in another unit at the Hideaway. That was a solid tin rating. Location was better on the water but also the unit had been updated with two large walk-in showers. There was coffee there werethins and snorkels and beach towels available. I might have rated this unit higher. If I had not stayed in the other one first, this one definitely needs some attention. I suppose I should add that this unit was much better than the one we stayed in the very first night on the island.

Positive: It was very clean and the bed was super comfy. We were grateful for the cooler provided for the beach. Although we brought our own shampoo/conditioner and bodywash, there were pumps attached to the showers that was pretty cool. Also thankful for the splash bar and grill, as they were always available, (within reasonable hours 8am-9pm, due to the holiday and just certain days other restaurants were closed.

Negative: Our villa was fine, we often heard the neighbors walking, it sounded like they were stomping upstairs, but there is no upstairs. It was only the one side, they may have just been noisy neighbors, we never heard the other side at all.
