Positive: The location, a few steps from the beach and the town with its shops, cafes and restaurants. Carlsbad had a lovely laid back atmosphere and the apartment was central. Tha apartment facilities with kitchen made for a very easy stay. The bed and room was comfortable and had been newly refurbished.

Negative: Nothing - it was exactly as expected.

Positive: The location and size of the villa, along with the cosmetic updates, were very nice. The kitchen was a good size and well equipped. You can hear the ocean from the master bedroom in the morning when it's quiet.

Negative: The villa could be noisy due to having to keep the windows open for airflow since there is no AC. This is not the fault of the property, but more due to the location next to other busy condos and the busy street. We heard a lot of garbage trucks and delivery trucks pretty much every day.

Positive: The location is perfect. You are able to walk to the beach, restaurants, and stores. Being that parking is near impossible, especially on the weekends, this makes for a perfect location.

Negative: The noise from the other guest is horrible. We had people above us that were running and stomping all day into the night, sliding things across the floor, and what sounded like body slamming themselves onto the floor. They were shaking the fixtures and lights with how hard they were stomping. If you are coming here to relax in your room I do not recommend staying here. There is also only one parking spot which is a little inconvenient if you have more than one vehicle. The last night we were there the wifi cut out in the middle of the movie that we were watching which was also a little annoying.

Summary: Great for convenience but not great for relaxing.
